Chance Multimedia begins video production for UK artist Pauline Aitken.

August, 2011

James and Jessica travel to Perignan, France for the Visa pour l'Image Photojournalism Festival. There we shared work with editors and photographers, enjoyed some of the best photojournalism being produced around the world, and talked about the future of news delivery, curation and communication with representatives from MediaStorm, Getty, VU', MSNBC.com, the Associated Press, and more.

July 21st, 2011 (exhibit July 8 - September 25th)

James presents his work at the Redline Gallery as part of The Design for the Other 90% project and (Denver) exhibit.

June 3rd - 26th, 2011

James will be exhibiting photographs from Living With The Dead: Manila's North Cemetery along with a trailer for our multimedia documentary as part of the POYi exhibit at LOOK3 Festival of the Photograph in Charlottesville, Virginia.

April 13th, 2011

Crossing the Net, a 30-minute documentary about the black tennis experience in Denver's City Park, premieres on the big screen at The Denver Film Society. Jessica Chance joined an accomplished team of cinematographers, photographers and producers as the main editor for this project.

March 2011

James and Jessica travel back to Manila to shoot the video content for their current personal project Living With The Dead: Manila's North Cemetery.

James is awarded the POYi Emerging Vision Incentive: a $10,000 award for an emerging photographer to continue with an ongoing project over the next year. James will continue his work in the North Cemetery.

James received an honorable mention from the Magenta Foundation in their Flash Forward Emerging Photographers 2010 list, a highly respected annual list of emerging talent in the UK, USA and Canada. He will also be participating in the Flash Forward Festival

Its been a busy week! We received news today that James' photographs from the North Cemetery have been selected for a fourth European exhibition!: The Lumix Festival for Young Photojournalism in Hannover, Germany. The work was selected through through the FreeLens Award for Young Photojournalism and is a contender for the 10,000 Euro award.

James was selected as one of 10 winners in the Ekvilib Institute's International Photo Contest. His work will feature in a touring exhibition entitled GLOBAL WORLD: Through the Lens of Human Rights. The Ekvilib Institute is a Slovenian non-profit and independent organisation, active in the fields of social responsibility, human rights and development cooperation. Just returned from Charlotte, NC, where we are producing a multimedia presentation with Saatchi & Saatchi S that highlights great new sustainability practices blooming within the people and the culture of Alston + Bird LLP. We see this project as a great example of how video can be used as part of a larger strategy to achieve an organizational mission. We are wrapping this one up quickly, and hope to post it here before ringing in the New Year!

Living with the Dead is currently being exhibited at the prestigious Visa Pour L'Image photography festival in Perpignan, France. The exhibition is part of the Grand Prix CARE du Reportage Humanitaire 2009. James was selected as one of four finalists for this major international award.

Chance Multimedia is awarded the Every Human has Rights Media award in Paris, France for their multimedia presentation, "Living with the Dead: Manila's North Cemetery." The award was presented in front of President Jimmy Carter and former UN Secretary General Kofi Annan.
